The company's founder, George Marinopoulos, started his career as a sheet metal technician in 1982 making parts for the electronics industry. In 1986, he accepted an opportunity in the aerospace industry where he manufactured parts for business aircraft interiors and thereafter moved on to working on aircraft.

In January 2000, PACSAIR was incorporated and George was awarded contracts across Canada. From that point on, the company has continued to grow steadily.
